Weymouth's Swannery Bridge to be closed

Drivers in Weymouth town centre will soon be diverted around Swannery Bridge while it is re-waterproofed.

Starting on Monday 20 September, Swannery Bridge will be one-way towards the seafront (eastbound) for up to six weeks while Hanson and county council engineers carry out essential maintenance.

Traffic, including bus routes, will be able to use the bridge to get into the town centre. Motorists leaving the town centre will be diverted onto the Esplanade, up Dorchester Road to Manor Roundabout and along Weymouth Way.

Town Bridge will remain open to two-way traffic.
