Terras judgement day just hours away

The clock is ticking
– but Terras fans have reason to be hopeful that Weymouth FC can avoid going
into administration.
Weymouth’s Board of Directors set the
deadline of raising £50,000 by Tuesday 8th September for the club to
avoid calling in the administrators. As
a further measure of hope, The Terras Saviours 100 scheme was launched to find
100 businesses or individuals who will each spend £500 on sponsorship.
Nearly 20 businesses
and supporters have so far done just that – and existing sponsors like Weyline Taxis have also extended their
backing. The club has announced that the
money will only be taken for the scheme if it reaches the target of 100
sponsors.

Meanwhile the cloud
of gloom hovering over the Wessex Stadium got a bit darker with a loss that puts the
Terras back in Blue Square South’s
bottom three.
Weymouth were well fired up and in a positive mood with
the return of 43 old Steve Claridge. But even the former Premier League striker
couldn’t save the Terras from a humiliating 5-1 defeat at the hands of visitors
Bromley.
