Walked past this place many times and always fancied trying it. I'm a lover of Greek and Mediterranean foods so wanted to put it to the taste test. Despite the restaurant being empty on a cold and wet Thursday night in November I was not dissapointed with the quality of food and service.
We were left alone to enjoy the food but engaged in conversation with the staff, particularly about the food. We were informed that some of the ingredients are sourced locally (I had goat meat from a local farm) but prepared according to cultural traditions.
The food was perfect, tasty and everything I had hoped for. Although not a cheap night out, the portion sizes were good and it was money well spent on a lovely evening out. However, there are set menu offers which I personally believe are good value considering the quality of the dishes.
If you enjoy Mediterranean food then this is a must. I was informed that if you book a party of 20 or more, not only can you benefit from the value set menu but the restaurant will also provide themed entertainment at no extra cost.
The only downside I have to mention was an issue we had with paying. The card machine was apparently out of order so a trip to the nearby cash point was needed. Being put on the spot with the staff member displaying the change in his hands, neither appropriate denominations for a tip, meant we were embarrassed into leaving a rather large tip... I felt this was not a particularly acceptable British custom.

ReportLike a moussaka? With a glass of retsina? Well, this Greek Restaurant can give you traditional and it can give you a mouthwatering contemporary twist on lamb kebabs and a shot of Ouzo. The service is friendly and this well appointed restaurant is run by local flamboyant businessman George Afedakis who is passionate about Weymouth and wants to share his love of his homeland with people, that goes for the food, the service, the atmosphere, it's not just a place that serves Greek food, everything about it is Greek. On local fete days such as Weymouth Carnival he always plays a leading role and can be found outside his restaurant urging people to try some of his delicious food, Also he has a mind boggling cocktails list - have you ever seen an Ouzotini anywhere else? Worth going just for that! The food is tender and mouthwatering, we had a mezze that just kept on coming, and a lamb dish that showcased the very best of Mediterranean food.
