If you Christmas Tree is looking a bit sorry now, and dropping needles all over your carpet, then it might be time to accept that Christmas is over and it's time for your festive centrepiece to be put to good use somewhere else.

The good news is that real Christmas trees are being recycled by the council, or turned into compost more specifically.

In Weymouth and Portland, residents can simply put their Christmas tree outside with their brown bin any time after Christmas and it will collected for composting.
