Having visited the Globe over the last few years it was lovely to walk into it again in August and see the transformation. It is now a clean and bright pub with lots of chat and so friendly to locals and holidamakers like us. We enjoyed our evenings in the pub talking to locals and holidaymakers too. Ellie and Mike have done a great job to get this pub back to how it used to be. The free duke box was great too with all the songs we like to hear, without it being overpowering. See you again soon and well done to all in the pub. margaret and Ian

We are situated just 20 yards from the harbour, 2 minutes walk from Weymouth's lovely beach and 2 minutes walk from the vibrant town centre....
we first reviewed this pub in december 2010. Just updating now to say it keeps getting better. Mike and Ellie are still doing a magnificent job, the beer is first class, as is the cider. All their barstaff are excellent and very friendly. Whenever we have friends and relatives down to visit the first place we take them is the Globe and they all leave with the same opinion. Its a proper pub run by proper people.

ReportI met up with a couple of friends one day after work in the Globe and it was very pleasant. The inside was quite busy for 6pm with people who looked like they were happy regulars. They have good cider and the service is friendly and pleasant.
we moved to weymouth in june this year. we looked for a pub that we could call a local and the Globe won hands down. From the moment we first went in we knew it was great. The gaffer, Mike, was very friendly and all the bar staff too. The ale is superb and well kept and the cider is fantastic. We find it easy to praise this pub very highly it is simply brilliant. We know Mike and Ellie only took over last year and by all accounts had a tough job on their hands but what they have achieved is great. Long may their success continue.

The Globe Inn is a very friendly pub with very pleasant staff. The real ales are excellent and whether you are a local or visitor to Weymouth it is well worth a visit. We will be back!! Thank you Mike and Ellie.

Now a totally revitalised and friendly comfortable hostelry - when the visiting card says "A proper pub - real ales a speciality - one of Weymouth's few remaining traditional pubs" it really does what it says on the tin.
Three superbly kept real ales always available plus the threat/promise of a regular guest ale.
Well worth a visit if theres room !!.
The Globe is one of the better pubs in Weymouth. It's a much localised pub that really gives you that sense that you're actually in Weymouth. That's probably the beauty of this place, you actually feel like your somewhere else whereas in other pubs, it's just 'another pub'.
