The Golden Lion
Nice place for a pint
Haven't been to the golden Lion for years but I heard it had been taken over by new management and thought I would pay a visit...so we went mid-evening on a Wednesday night and it was very nice! The decor has a comfy feel and there are photos of Weymouth harbour and fishing paraphernalia on the walls (bit overpriced though) It was very quiet but there was a small clutch of locals creating a buzz at the bar and some lovely acapella guitar and singing being broadcast over the sound system and I got the impression it had been recorded at the pub. The pub is dog friendly (but we were disappointed not to see dogs!) I would deifnitely go again.
