Summer starts on Weymouth beach

I can't believe that. I knew about the upturned boats and like the idea of them, but surely they should keep the stripey huts as well. They're as much a part of Weymouth as the golden sand and Rossi's ice cream. Doesn't look like the upturned boats will be built any time soon, so the beach stands a chance of being without any refreshment stands at all.

Great pix, luv the sandcastles! I can't believ how busy the beach is, looks just like the middle of summer. there are more people one there than in the middle of the summer. Anyone know what's happening with the stripey huts, they weren't open and didn't look very stripey?
