Nine companies in the Weymouth area are looking for young people to fill apprenticeship vacancies with an immediate start.
The apprenticeship scheme is flourishing in our local area as Weymouth College students have been impressing the business community with their skills and achievements.
If you are 16-24 and interested in a career in business administration then an apprenticeship could be for you.
The minimum wage for an apprentice is currently £95 a week which increases with the time spent in placement. You will work 4 ½ days a week in your placement company and spend just ½ day a week at Weymouth College.
You will complete a framework of qualifications such as an NVQ that supports the work you will carry out within your workplace, a technical certificate and Functional Skills in Maths, English & ICT.
The following organisations have Business Administration Apprenticeship vacancies:
Weymouth College
R.J. King Insurance
Changing Homes and Mortgages
Enterprise Connection
Popcorn Marketing
Lloyds Care
Dorset Police
There are also two Hairdressing Apprenticeship vacancies with iRoka Salon & Spa in Weymouth and Designers Edge in Bridport.
