UK households throw away a massive 8.3 millions tonnes of food and drink every year, two thirds of which could have been eaten – this equates to £12 billion pounds worth of food.

In a bid to help cut food waste, Dorset councils are encouraging residents to love their freezers and hate waste this autumn.
But do you make the most out of your freezer or, like me, do you find unidentified frozen blobs at the bottom that could have been there for years? Hell, it's possible a body might have been dumped in my chest freezer and I'd never know.
Local people can find out how to save money, time and help the environment at a series of ‘It’s a breeze to freeze’ roadshows taking place in Weymouth, Portland and west Dorset. The launch event kicks off at Bond Street, Weymouth on Monday 4 October at 10am to 2pm.

I don't have a freezer, well I do but it's located in my garage and it's such a pain to get to it I've become used to not using it at all.
