Brief Biography – Marvin Ayres.
Genres: Classical/Ambient/Electronica

Marvin Ayres is a British modern-classical composer/cellist/violinist/pianist and ambient producer. He has composed and recorded a diverse selection of minimalist albums, incorporating spatial soundscapes and psycho-acoustics and latterly 5.1 Surround Sound.

Marvin has also produced a number of film and TV soundtracks, and also works with Curved Air’s Sonja Kristina on their MASK project. His collaborations with film Artists have been screened at the Tate Modern, the ICA, the Sundance festival, and other international galleries and film festivals and on UK Classic FM.

Signed in 1999 to the avant-garde label Mille Plateaux, Marvin released two minimalist albums, Cellosphere and Neptune to critical acclaim.

Marvin has also worked on a number of other projects recently, including, arranging and performing strings on songs for Adam Ant, A. Bowie, and Jimmy Pursey for a World Aids Day album, collaboration on the new B.E.F (British Electric Foundation) project, and is working on a new album with Martyn Ware (Heaven 17/Human League). He also composed the music for the U.S hit TV show: “Lisa Williams - Life Among The Dead”.

The majority of Marvin’s career has been in production, composing, playing and recording his music. Now Marvin is taking his extraordinary talents “on the road”. An opportunity to see this unique live show should not be missed!
