Yes!!!! Isn't it crazy that when they built the subway under the roundabout at top of King Street they did not build a subway under the Esplanade to beach as well! Therefore traffic lights have to be installed on Esplanade holding up yet more traffic! Barking mad.

All main road traffic (A353) from Preston will not go King Street way once the relief road is open. Therefore all the traffic lights now being installed there are a waste of time - totally unecessary.
The old Westham and Harbour roundabouts were safer than the new traffic signal junctions.

ReportI have heard that the relief road is single carriageway only and that strikes me as utter madness. Also the current road will be closed off from Upwey and turned into a cycle path and bridleway to connect to the bridge at the top. So they have built a new road - fine, but essentially we still only get one lane. Not even a dual carriageway. How will that relieve the traffic, exactly? Well at least it will be 60mph and not 40mph like the current snails pace we have to drive at.
