Can anyone help or should I start up a website about where all the volunteers for 2012 are going to stay ?

This is an opportunity for all local hoteliers, campsite owners to make some money in these economic times and really good luck to them - this area needs this investment.

However, people who are giving up their annual leave to volunteer also need somewhere to stay. I am prepared to camp for both the Olympic and ParaOlympic games but one site is quoting £450/week which would be £2K for the whole period. totally unrealistic for me !

Does anyone have contact with schools/colleges who may be prepared to let their playing fields be used and the gym changing rooms for showers etc. What about local farmers on the Wyke side of town opening up fields with port a cabins etc for loos/showers ? This would enable more community involvement or any other ideas of where to stay ?
