A dead dolphin was found on the beach near Weymouth yesterday. Coastguards reported that at just after 2pm, Wyke Coastguard Rescue Officers were tasked to measure and note details of the mammal. The information is routinely sent off to the Natural History Museum. The council were notified and attended and will dispose of the carcass.
