I travelled 180 miles from Birmingham for the carnival. I only left on saturday, from a week's holiday here. I must say that I am disappointed with the organisation of the parade. My family were standing outside the Pavillion Theatre. The start of the parade, coincided with the Condor ferry disembarking, which meant that for 30 minutes, we had to watch bemused passengers go slowly past. The floats were on the other side of the road, with hundreds of people unable to give money, Hopefully next year, the procession can start from Lodmoor again. Apart from that, Thanks again to everyone in weymouth (and Portland) for a great day.
