Coastguards rescue family and their pet dog from beach near Weymouth: Yesterday afternoon, the Portland search and rescue helicopter was scrambled and Wyke Regis Coast Rescue Officers responded to a 999 call from a family group of two adults, three young children and the family dog who had become disoriented while walking between Ringstead and Osmington. Additionally the lady had fallen and injured her leg. Once located the group were flown to the carpark at Ringstead before the injured lady was flown to Dorset County Hospital for treatment for her suspected broken leg.
