42 year old woman shows total disrespect for the law

I just seen in a National newspaper a story about a 42 year old woman from Weymouth who was threatened with prison for swearing in court,
The 42 year old woman named as Samantha Buger who was accused of threatening behaviour, swore, slapped her buttocks towards the bench and asked what you gonna do send me to prison? she then continued by adding it's like Butlins there! It’s no threat to me love!
The woman’s outrageous comments and actions were met with a conditional discharge, but even then she continued to show a total lack of respect for the legal system by telling JP's I don't care, adios amigos.
This is just a typical example of some peoples total disrespect for the Law, I can’t help but think that the Court should have made an example of her and her total lack of respect by handing her a prison sentence.
The problem is that our children are the future and if children are surrounded by older people such as this woman then the total lack of the law and people in authority will be passed down to our children and our children’s children.
But it also shows a degree of truth as many people feel the same and that prisons are more like a holiday camp, a place of luxury.

I read about this in the Echo. Sounds like something out of Shameless.
Can anyone tell me what slapping your buttocks towards the magistrated actually means? Did she look around coquettishly at the same time? Nice,

ReportThere's no space left in prisons though is there? Even arsonists and drunk drivers get let off with a couple of months. Where is the incentive to be a law-abiding citizen? I agree that respect towards other people is dying. It's all about self and it's a real shame.
