    A HENSTRIDGE man has denied stealing furniture when he was a tenant of a semi-detached house in Sturminster Newton. Terry Andrew Nixon, 43, of The Cross, denied stealing items of furniture and other household goods, valued in all at £505, between April 20 and May 11 this year. A trial has been fixed for January 11 at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court.

    A SHAFTESBURY man has denied threatening to burn down a building and damage machinery. At Weymouth Magistrates’ Court, George Andrew Cooper, 44, of Calves Lane, denied assaulting Andrew Douglas Mills and causing criminal damage at Todber on May 26. The allegations will now go to a trial at the court on January 26. Cooper is on bail until then with a condition that he has no contact with Andrew or Roger Mills.
  • Police appeal for help after alleged assault on woman in Weymouth

    Police in Weymouth are appealing for help from the public following an alleged domestic assault in the town – with one man being arrested.
