Desperately wanted to like Ross's ice cream with the history etc but was left disapponted. The natural flavour taste lke metal - every time I have tried it. Also despite answer above about dong dfferent flavours on dfferent days - you really haven to time it right. Staff always seem unnterested to me too. Just goes to show history doaltyesn't gurantee qualty. Sorry.

I think the natural flavour tastes better than vanilla anyway. Mmmmmmmmm!

As there is no obvious way of responding to feedback on this site- here it is. We do not make vanilla because its not cost affective. We will need to spend about an extra £60 per bucked of cream to flavor it, and as we use about 7buckets a day, and everyone seems to love our natural ice cream anyway. Also, we do make strawberry and chocolate and coffee extra in the week. We rotate the flavors through the week, so you must just be walking past at the wrong time.

I had my first Rossi's of the season the other day. Fantastic. Raspberry with a flake. Ate it on a pedalo. Summery or what? Brilliant.

I know it seems a bit weird to be raving about ice cream in the middle of the winter, but if you haven't paid a visit to Rossi's, make sure it's on your list when Weymouth starts waking up for the summer. Run by generations of Italian ice cream makers, 'Figgy' Rossi is well known in the resort. Flavours are few and simple - natural, chocolate, raspberry. The pineapple has real bits of fruit in it and the coffee is to die for! Coconut is also delicious. All ice cream comes in traditional scoops in a cone, or in tubs to take away!
Rossi's ice cream parlour is synonymous with Weymouth. A stroll along the seafront is complete only by having one of Rossi's lovely ice creams as an eatable accessory. Lots of flavours and delicious. Rossi's have been here for years - does anyone know how long? The reason they have lasted so well is their quality product and their seafront position.
