Weymouth Police are appealing for witnesses and information after an arson attack in Littlemoor.
Play equipment at the park behind the Littlemoor Community Centre on Canberra Road was set alight in an incident on Monday (25th February 2013) at around 9.20pm.
A woman in her 30s sustained superficial burns while trying to extinguish the fire.
This is the latest in a series of arson attacks and anti-social behaviour incidents to hit the Littlemoor area of Weymouth. Last week we reported that police have been granted extra dispersal powers from the beginning of March to help calm the situation.
Weymouth Neighbourhood Inspector Les Fry said: "Dorset Police has been working hard with our partner agencies to ensure crime and anti-social behaviour is effectively tackled on the Littlemoor estate.
"We will not tolerate this sort behaviour and I urge witnesses to this incident and anyone with any information about those responsible to contact police as soon as possible."
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 25:450.
