Nothing can beat that great feeling of walking out a salon with a new hairdo. Whether you've opted for a complete change of cut or colour, or just freshened up your split ends with a trim - bouncy, healthy hair makes us all look and feel fabulous.
In Weymouth there are loads of hairdressers - here on the Weymouth People hairdressing directory there's 50 to choose from! To help others choose the place that's best for them, why not add a review of your local hairdresser, and let us know about the great (or terrible) haircuts you've had?
Our straw poll reveals a list of 5 top places that give brilliant bling for your barnet - what do you think? Tell us if we've missed anything out!
The Modern Barbers
A no-frills salon, where punters can walk in off the street and get a dry cut there and then - this has got to be the cheapest place in town. It's not unusual to see lines of families and holidaymakers queuing out the door. Miranda recommends: "The Modern Barbers, where I get my hair cut for a fiver with no need to book."
Hair Boutique
I have never been to this place, but hear some very good reports. Michelle says: "Hair Boutique in Weymouth for hair! A cut and blow dry for £35. Kelly doesn't rush, even if she is running late, and she always does an amazing finish - I always ask for curls. She also won a national hair comp and got to train with some fancy hairdresser in London."
This is a well-established salon just down the road from Asda. Lisa Worthington tells the Weymouth People Facebook Page: "My mum has just had her hair done by Jade at Hair Moda and she looks amazing!"
Located at the old cinema in Gloucester Street, this spa operates a hair salon as well. George Clark tells Weymouth People on Twitter: "As much as you probably wouldn't think it, Hair Raizin by iRoka does a great job at styling, colouring and cutting my hair." You're too modest, George - we have just checked out your Tumblr page, and we like your floppy sideways hairdo!
Tomi Gunz
This is a barbers - the boy's version of Blondz (run by the same people). Guys like it because it's a tenner, which is apparently a good price for a haircut. Mark says: "I go there because it's close to where I live and the people in there are very cool."
And finally -
Everyone knows that my fave salon is Blondz. I went in there yesterday and it cost only £54 for a cut, 3 colours and finish (GHD waves.) I had my hair done by Toby and he was amazing, very artistic, he really took his time and made me feel like a million dollars. For the 'reveal' at the end, he even took me and the mirror outside, to show me how the copper/gold/chocolate streaks shimmered in the sunshine! Other places I have been recently include Changing Grooms. I needed my hair put up at very short notice and they did it on the spot. I asked for an "Adele bun" and got lots of compliments afterwards. Not bad for 20 quid. I did pop into the new place in St Thomas Street, Steven May, but they were fully booked up that day - must be a good sign!
