Weymouth Firefighters were called to Upwey Rail Station just after 6am this morning to investigate smoke coming from the underside of a passenger carriage.

20 passengers were evacuated from the train while the crews tackled the fire.

Major delays followed as the carriage was attended to and then moved out of the station for further investigation, however trains are now running to time again.
