This helps recruits get used to what they may face whilst in action and PTIs mandate that these obstacles are tackled with urgency in the most safe and efficient way.

Team work is essential throughout these fitness classes as often there are areas that cannot be completed individually, which is true of real life battle situations.

Whilst out in action, members of the armed forces are often under considerable levels of stress; so ensuring they are fit and well-nourished is essential to ensuring they perform at their optimum level. To help your body cope with stress better, exercising regularly is important as your body is far more equipped to recovering from injuries and infection. Exercise helps your circulatory system by improving the body’s blood supply; therefore the body’s own defences against bacteria and infection are delivered where they are needed much more efficiently. So along with the mandatory training that personnel have to undertake soldiers often take part in sports outside of the services to make sure they are as fit as possible.
