Tesco workers may have clues to Portland murder

NIGHT shift workers in Tesco on Portland might be able to help with the murder enquiry that's been launched on the island after a man died of stab wounds.
Dorset Police believe it's a domestic incident, and are not launching a man hunt for the murderer, but have still asked employees of the Easton supermarket to come forward if they've seen anything else that would explain the sudden death the victim during the early hours of today, Wednesday 28 December 2011.
At 1.27am this morning police were called to an address along Park Road in Portland after a report from a member of the public that a man had been stabbed and consequently seriously injured.
Paramedics attended and the man - believed to be in his forties - was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 44-year-old woman from Devon has been arrested and is helping police with their enquiries.
The coroner has been notified and next of kin have been informed.
The dead man has not been formally identified.
Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Connolly, of the Major Crime Investigation Team, said: "At this time we believe this is a domestic incident and we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the man's death.
"Anyone who saw or heard anything unusual or suspicious in or around Park Road early this morning or late last night should call Dorset Police urgently on 101.
"There is also a Tesco supermarket near to the address and I'd urge any staff working through the night to think carefully about anything they may have witnessed - any information could help us with this investigation."
A cordon has been set up in the address while experts forensically examine the scene.
Safer Neighbourhood Team officers are in the area to provide reassurance to residents.
