The sea has already frozen at Sandbanks - check out this pic on Twitter by @Brownseablog. And the thermometer went dow to minus seven last night in Wareham, says tweeter @climbdorset. And it's snowing now in Somerset...when will it hit us? The Met Office has warned that Weymouth and the South West could be set for snow very soon as a band of wet weather hits freezing temperatures in the east of England - and moves towards us.

Four local football games have had to be cancelled because the pitches are frozen solid. Weymouth will be in the grip of a cold snap right over the weekend in to the early parts of next week, forecasters have said. Most of England - except Devon and Cornwall - is expected to be affected. Motorists need to be extra careful on the roads and wrap up, taking supplies and fully charged mobile phones out with them.
Check the Dorset County Council website for details of school and road closures and their 'gritter Twitter feed' for details of gritters and conditions on Dorset roads.
You can click on the following links to see if schools are closed, roads are cut off by snow, if children's centres and adult day care centres are closed, and if school buses have to be cancelled.
Please pop round and check on them if your neighbours are elderly and living alone.
Check out our pictures of snow from the last time Weymouth got some of the white stuff.
Be careful everyone!
