An annual highlight of the Weymouth festive season is the 'Chase the Pudding' event which sees hundreds of Father Christmases, elves, fairies and Christmas trees chasing a Christmas Pudding along the beach.

Get after that pudding!
This year's race takes place on Weymouth Beach on Sunday 16th December at 11am (Chaser registration and a warm up will happen at 9.30am in Pavillion Ocean Room).
The event, organised by Mark Steen of Bustinskin, raises money for the British Heart Foundation and this year aims for a record breaking entry.
Mark Steen Director of Bustinskin said: "I am really pleased to be partnered with BHF again this year. It is a great cause and with a professional events team the pudding race can only go from strength to strength. I am sure the Santas will turn out in great numbers following the fantastic pudding chase last year."
Neil Jarrett, Fundraising and Volunteer Manager for the British Heart Foundation, said: " It is going to be a lot of fun, and the funds raised will help us to continue the life-changing work that we carry out in the local area and across the UK".
For full entry and sponsorship details go to www.bhf.org.uk/chasethepudding2012. Entry for adults is £10 (£15 to receive a Santa costume), under 10s are free with a family member. People can register in advance via the website or on the day in the Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Room from 9am.
