Police appeal for witnesses to Weymouth Esplanade robberies

Weymouth Polcie are appealing for witnesses or information about a series of robberies in the town that took place on Friday 15th March.
Between 8pm and 10.15pm on Westham Road and the Esplanade three victims, a local man in his eighties, a 19-year-old woman and a man in his 40s were individually approached, threatened and had items stolen from them.
Detective Constable Sarah Desmond, of Weymouth CID, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything that can help with the investigation.
"In particular there was a member of the public who was on the Esplanade at the time of the third incident that may have seen something. I am also keen to speak to the person whom the victim asked to call the police.
Two men have been already been charged with attempted robbery and possession of an offensive weapon, and were remanded in custody after a court appearance on 18th March.
