Weymouth College art students have been busy creating a unique mural for the new relief road subway at Manor Roundabout.
Two murals, each 2.5m high and 24m long, have been designed and painted by 24 BTEC National Diploma Art & Design students.
Split into two teams of 12, each individual designed their own section of the mural within the theme the team had decided upon.
Engineers working on the relief road project have organised for the artwork to be installed.
In other relief road news, this week there are three-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of Littlemoor Road and Louviers Road, near to the Co-op.
The lights will be in place for around one week while the Louviers Road pedestrian island is constructed.
Meanwihle, the Dorchester Road shuttle service will now finish on Saturday 10 September after the last timetabled service (7pm).
Work at Bincombe junction is progressing well and transport chiefs hope that it will be complete at the end of this week.
Discussions with bus companies will take place once the works are complete. Dorset County Council will provide an update on the bus services once further details are available.
