This is your chance to make your voice heard if you've got an opinion on what transport chiefs are planning for Dorchester Road in Broadwey.

The environmental improvement plans for Dorchester Road have been revised following consultation with local residents at the end of 2010.

With the Weymouth Relief Road open, they have looked at possible improvements that could be made to Dorchester Road. Dorset county council hopes to transform the residential road between Upwey and Manor Roundabout from the formerly congested thoroughfare to a calm street scene.

On-street parking, pedestrian facilities, a cycleway and a review of current road markings have been looked at as part of the revised scheme. Further public exhibitions are being held to hear what residents think of the new proposals.

Detailed plans of the scheme proposals are now available to view online.

The council has provided a preferred option for the length of Dorchester Road, and alternate option for most of the areas along Dorchester Road.

They welcome your comments on the proposals. If you have any comments or questions please contact Dorset Highways by Wednesday 29th February 2012.
